Thrivebot is committed to protecting your personal information and ensuring compliance with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA). This policy applies to California residents and outlines how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information in accordance with the CCPA/CPRA. By using Thrivebot, you acknowledge and consent to the practices described in this policy.

Personal Information We Collect

Under the CCPA, "personal information" is information that identifies, relates to, describes, or can be associated with a particular individual. We collect the following categories of personal information when you interact with Thrivebot:

  • Identifiers: Discord username, user ID, server ID, channel ID.
  • Personal Information Categories Listed in the California Customer Records Statute: Birth date, birth month, and birth year.

Sources of Personal Information

We collect personal information directly from you when you:

  • Use Thrivebot’s features, such as interacting with the bot on Discord.
  • Enable the AI Chatbot feature in a channel.
  • Provide information voluntarily, such as birth date for specific bot functionalities.

Purposes for Collecting and Using Personal Information

We collect and use your personal information for the following business or commercial purposes:

  • Providing and maintaining Thrivebot’s functionality.
  • Responding to your inquiries and support requests.
  • Improving and optimizing the bot’s performance and user experience.
  • Complying with legal obligations, such as responding to CCPA requests.

Your CCPA/CPRA Rights

As a California resident, you have the following rights under the CCPA and CPRA regarding your personal information:

  • Right to Know: Request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources of that information, the purposes for collection, and any third parties with whom we have shared it.
  • Right to Delete: Request deletion of your personal information that we have collected, subject to certain exceptions.
  • Right to Correct (CPRA 2023+): Request correction of inaccurate personal information that we maintain about you.
  • Right to Opt-Out of Sale/Sharing: Request to opt-out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. Note that Thrivebot does not sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA.
  • Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information: Request that we limit our use of your sensitive personal information to purposes permitted by the CPRA.
  • Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your CCPA/CPRA rights, including by denying services, charging different prices, or providing a different level of service.

To exercise your Right to Know or Right to Delete, please use one of the following methods:

  • Direct message the bot owner (Username: @ocyeanic).
  • Notify any staff member in our support server.
  • Use the bot command requestmydata to access your data or deletemydata to delete your data.
  • Email support@thrivebot.in with your request, including your user ID, username, and details of the request. For security, a staff member or the bot owner will contact you for verification before processing.

We will respond to verifiable consumer requests within 45 days, with a possible 45-day extension if necessary, as permitted by the CCPA. We will provide the requested information free of charge.


When you use the deletemydata command, the following information will not be deleted:

  • Your bot warning/ban history
  • In-bot currency transfer history
  • Captcha completion status
  • Giveaway participation records
  • Lottery participation records
  • OwO Bot data (including cookie count, cowoncy, blackjack, coinflip, slots, curse, and pray logs)
  • Premium perks and benefits

Disclosure of Personal Information

In the past 12 months, we have not sold personal information as defined by the CCPA. We may disclose your personal information to the following categories of third parties for business purposes:

  • "Service" Providers: Third-party providers (e.g., hosting or analytics services) that process data on our behalf under CCPA-compliant agreements.
  • Legal Authorities: When required by law or to protect our legal rights, such as complying with a court order.

The categories of personal information disclosed for business purposes include identifiers and internet or other electronic network activity information.

Data Retention

We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy or to comply with legal obligations. Specifically:

  • AI Chatbot conversation data is stored in cache memory for 1 hour and then automatically deleted.
  • Other personal information (e.g., Discord IDs, birth dates) is retained for as long as you use Thrivebot or until you request deletion.

Upon your request to delete your data, we will remove it from our systems within 45 days, unless retention is required by law.

Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, loss, theft, or misuse. These measures include encryption, access controls, and regular security reviews.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this CCPA Policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. Updates will be posted on our website, and we will notify users of significant changes via our support server. Please review this policy periodically.
